2008 Stanley Cup Semifinals - Avalanche @ Red Wings Game 2
The Colorado Avalanche faced the Detroit Red Wings for a second time at the Joe Louis Arena a couple nights ago. After losing Game 1, I’m sure the Avs were hoping to bounce back but, instead, they were beaten pretty badly. Detroit won 5-1 (Franzen got a hat trick) which spelled disaster for the opposing goaltender, Jose Theodore, who was pulled for he second straight game and was replaced by Peter Budaj. Here’s the scoring summary:
COL: Laperriere, I. (02:38 in 3rd)
DET: Franzen, J. (PPG, 04:22 in 1st), Franzen, J. (PPG, 04:04 in 2nd), Filppula, V. (05:42 in 2nd), Zetterberg, H. (10:11 in 2nd), Franzen, J. (SHG, 08:47 in 3rd)
