Looks like Daniel Briere is looking for a blockbuster contract with the free-agent season poised to begin tomorrow. He’s apparently turned down a five-year, $25-million contract from the Buffalo Sabres - a deal that was seeking a year ago before going on to record a career-best 91 points.
If I were Briere, I’d be shuffling back to Buffalo given it’s a team that fits his style of play perfectly with a superb supporting cast.
