Calgary Flames Acquire Vandermeer
The Calgary Flames have acquired defenceman James Vandermeer from the Philadelphia Flyers for a third-round draft pick in 2009.
So far this season, he has three goals, 15 assists and 71 penalty minutes in 54 games this season with the Chicago Blackhawks and the Flyers. In all of his 246 career games he only has 17 goals and 49 assists.
Hmmm… when you have a defenceman like Dion Phaneuf on the team, it’s hard not to smirk at those numbers…
