After Scott Gomez (New York Rangers) got hit from behing by Scott Walker (Carolina Hurricanes) all hell broke loose. Naturally, Sean Avery (Rangers) got in the mix and received an instigator and misconduct and Tim Gleason (Canes) got a game misconduct too. Atlanta Thrashers forward, Ilya Kovalchuk, was suspended for one game without pay after he hit New York Rangers defenseman, Michal Rozsival, from behind.
