Penguins Win Game Three in 3-2 Victory!

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, BABY!!!!!!!!!!  What a game!!!  The 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs are officially on!  I was on the edge of my seat for most of the 60 minutes of play but if I can be honest, this game was just the latest episode of the Crosby Show.
Pittsburgh Penguins captain, Sidney Crosby, earned his weight in […]

Penguins Look to Regroup For Game 3

I’m hoping that home ice advantage will make a difference tonight as the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals head to Steel Town.  The Detroit Red Wings have dominated the series so far, shutting out the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game One and Two.  I was over on the ESPN website and I spotted this video of some […]

Wings Own Penguins Again in Game 2

What the heck?!?!?  I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t expecting the Pittsburgh Penguins to bounce back from that horrible first game in this series and practically every sports analyst was salivating over the prospect of Sidney Crosby would somehow repeat history and follow in the footsteps of Wayne Gretzky and […]

Penguins Shaking Up Their Lines - Video

Barry Melrose, of ESPN, spent some time talking about how the Pittsburgh Penguins are shaking up their lines after that devastating loss in Game One.  One major change - Ryan Malone is stepping up to play on captain, Sidney Crosby’s left, replacing Pascal Dupuis.  Crosby doesn’t think it’s that significant in terms of what people’s […]

2008 Stanley Cup Game 1 - Penguins @ Red Wings

What a disappointment.  As I get ready to watch Game 2 tonight, I’m praying that the Pittsburgh Penguins learned something from the beating they took from the Detroit Red Wings two days ago.  Here’s are the highlights (if you are a Detroit fan - they are low-lights if you’re a a Pens lover).

Bottom line - […]

Fleury Falls and Detroit Shuts Out Pittsburgh in Game 1

Wow… well that game sucked.  I cannot believe what I witnessed last night.  The first period was great - it was closely battled and really could have been anyone’s game.  The last two periods basically consisted of the Pittsburgh Penguins being totally bitch slapped by the Detroit Red Wings.  It was almost disgusting.

Best of the Penguins vs. Flyers: Video

Even though the Pittsburgh Penguins easily won the series, I found it great to watch.  I wasn’t exactly crying in my soup when the Philadelphia Flyers were eliminated but, it was a decent run.  Watch the highlights from the 2008 Eastern Conference Finals:

NHL Best of the Week - May 21, 2008

The NHL has listed some of the best plays from the 2008 Conference Finals.  There are great moments for all four teams.  I love this stuff because it shows how far these great athletes can push themselves even at the end of a season when I’m sure they are exhausted.  Some of the plays include:

Hudler’s […]
