Ray Emery - Where’s He Going?

One of the most talked about hockey players this season was goaltender, Ray Emery, and, unfortunately, it was usually for all the wrong reasons.  The Ottawa Senators were swept (SWEPT!) by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round of this season’s Stanley Cup Playoffs and almost everyone is blaming the “Razor.”  I don’t know if […]

2008 Journey to the Cup - Ottawa Senators

The Ottawa Senators were swept by the Pittsburgh Penguins (ouch) and there have been all kinds of rumors and finger pointing but they did make it to the playoffs (even if it ended the way it did).  Here’s their montage:

2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs - Penguins Sweep the Senators!

WOW!!!  The Pittsburgh Penguins basically killed the Ottawa Senators.  It was absolutely rough!  The Pens swept the series and booted the Sens out of the playoffs.  It was a deserving ending to an embattled season for the Sens.
What do you think?  Should they dump goalie, Ray Emery?
Here are the highlights from last night’s game:

2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs Video: Penguins @ Senators - April 14, 2008

Check out the highlights from last night’s game when the Pittsburgh Penguins punished the Ottawa Senators for the third time in a row.  One more game and it’s not only the end for the Sens, it would also be an embarrassing sweep.  Here’s how the scoring went:
PIT: Talbot, M. (05:39 in 2nd), Crosby, S. (00:12 […]

I wanted to get this up last night but I’ve been really unwell.  This is really turning into an exciting year for hockey!  These Stanley Cup playoffs are rocking my socks!  I’m thrilled that the Washington Capitals have made it and that game against the Philadelphia Flyers was sick!  I was on the edge of […]

What is Wrong with the Ottawa Senators?

The Ottawa Senators have been the worst team in the Eastern conference since January 1, 2008 and they just seem like a team that has fallen apart.  They have had problems with goalie Ray Emery, a major coaching change and some trades at the deadline so, really, what isn’t wrong with the team?  I think […]

Ottawa Senators Fire Head Coach

The trade deadline is barely cold and already coaches are getting the boot!  The Ottawa Senators have given head coach, John Paddock, the old heave-ho and GM, Bryan Murray, will step in while continuing his managerial duties.
“It’s shocking really that it comes to this,” Murray said. “It’s disappointing from everybody’s point of view.”
Assistant coach […]

Stillman and Commodore Traded to Sens

I’m sure we’re going to be seeing many more transactions before the trade deadline on February 26, 2008 at 3pm EST.  In the meantime, the Carolina Hurricanes have sent Cory Stillman and Mike Commodore to the Ottawa Senators since the Sens wanted to bolster their number of players with playoff experience, secondary scoring and toughness […]
