The Philadelphia Flyers soundly shut out the Washington Capitals last night. I didn’t find it all that exciting of a game but here are the highlights:

Washington Capitals superstar, Alexander Ovechkin, has finally made it to the playoffs and he got his first goal a couple nights ago when the Caps defeated the Philadelphia Flyers (which was the same night when poor Patrick Thoresen took a puck to the groin).
Here’s the goal:

Philadelphia Flyers left wing Patrick Thoresen was released from the hospital Saturday after tests revealed no serious injury from a shot that hit him in the groin. Yeah, in the groin! On Friday night when the Flyers were defeated by the Washington Capitals, Thoresen dove to block Mike Green’s shot on goal in the third […]

I wanted to get this up last night but I’ve been really unwell. This is really turning into an exciting year for hockey! These Stanley Cup playoffs are rocking my socks! I’m thrilled that the Washington Capitals have made it and that game against the Philadelphia Flyers was sick! I was on the edge of […]

This is a huge deal! Alex Ovechkin is just killing as a left winger (most goals scored by an LW eva!) and Sidney Crosby is slowly rehabbing from his injury so I’m pretty excited that these two dynamic players are in the playoffs. I really want the Montreal Canadiens to take the Eastern division but […]

Holy crap!!!!!!!!!! I would not want to be Nicklas Backstrom this morning. Yesterday’s big Washington Capitals versus the Pittsburgh Penguins match up was slated to be a good game. Who doesn’t want to see Sidney Crosby go up against Alexander Ovechkin? Unfortunately, things went terribly wrong when Sid took a shot, missed the net and […]

Probably. Too bad I don’t think it is going to count for much (playoffs-wise but as a personal achievement it’s huge!) since Alexander Ovechkin plays for the Washington Capitals. It’s almost sad (sorry Caps fans). I don’t think they have a chance of making the playoffs but if they did, they’d have to give almost […]

Sidney Crosby returned to the lineup for the Pittsburgh Penguins last night and he almost played like he hadn’t missed a game. He was really, really good. I was expecting a little rust on Sid but he came out and even got an assist in the 2-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Hardly seems […]
