Detroit Red Wings forward, Tomas Holmstrom, suffered a hamstring injury during the game the other night and, while it might have seemed like an opportunity for a break for Pittsburgh Penguins netminder, Marc-Andre Fleury, Holmstrom has decided to shake it off and keep playing. The scheduling of the games may have been a crucial factor […]

I could not have been more thrilled last night to see the Pittsburgh Penguins rebound and come back in the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals against the Detroit Red Wings. It’s the morning after and I’m not any less excited watching the recap. It was definitely a hard-played game and I am really looking forward to […]

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, BABY!!!!!!!!!! What a game!!! The 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs are officially on! I was on the edge of my seat for most of the 60 minutes of play but if I can be honest, this game was just the latest episode of the Crosby Show.

After Game two of the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals, Steve Levy, Don Cherry and Barry Melrose dissected what happened. Cherry even said that he felt sorry for Pittsburgh Penguins captain, Sidney Crosby, was trying hard but just couldn’t make anything work. What the heck?!?!? I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t expecting the Pittsburgh Penguins to bounce back from that horrible first game in this series and practically every sports analyst was salivating over the prospect of Sidney Crosby would somehow repeat history and follow in the footsteps of Wayne Gretzky and […]

Bottom line - […]

Wow… well that game sucked. I cannot believe what I witnessed last night. The first period was great - it was closely battled and really could have been anyone’s game. The last two periods basically consisted of the Pittsburgh Penguins being totally bitch slapped by the Detroit Red Wings. It was almost disgusting.
Wings goaltender, […]

In less than an hour, the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals will begin with the Pittsburgh Penguins visiting the Detroit Red Wings. So, this is basically the last time to put forth any predictions. Here’s my breakdown:
Offensive Stats (based on playoffs performances only):
Points - Of the top 5, two are from the Red Wings and three […]

If you live in Detroit, Michigan you just might have figured out that there is hockey fever in Hockeytown! This banner is not only enormous, it’s actually really good quality! I love it even though I don’t particularly love the Red Wings! I was going to wait to add this to my Stanley Cup […]
