Stanley Cup Playoff Coverage - April 11, 2008

I wanted to get this up last night but I’ve been really unwell.  This is really turning into an exciting year for hockey!  These Stanley Cup playoffs are rocking my socks!  I’m thrilled that the Washington Capitals have made it and that game against the Philadelphia Flyers was sick!  I was on the edge of […]

Minnesota Wild Win Northwest Division

Oh, it hurts.  It hurts so bad.  The Calgary Flames were thisclose to taking the Northwest Division title and then Marian Gaborik and the Minnesota Wild turned on the magic.  Daymond Langkow scored the lone goal for the Flames during the first which was promptly answered by Todd Fedoruk.  Gaborik went on to score twice.

NHL Hockey Injury Updates - December 19, 2007

Mikko Koivu Still Not Ready To Return
This stinks because the guy was on such a roll when he got injured.  I can say that the Minnesota Wild center, who has been out of play for a month, has been skating on his own since breaking his leg on November 16, 2007 when Vancouver Canucks […]

Voros Says Goodnight to Novotny

Ouch!  The Columbus Blue Jackets were at the Minnesota Wild on Friday night and, on his way out of the penalty box, Aaron Voros decided to knock the wind out of Jiri Novotny.  It was almost lights out!  It’s a clean hit from what I could tell but it was a little funny how Voros […]

Ohlund Suspended for 4 Games Over Koivu Slash

Before I get into the story, take a look at this slash.  I think it’s deplorable.  Mattias Ohlund really shocked and disgusted me.  I have been so happy for Mikko Koivu - he’s coming out of his older brother Saku Koivu’s shadow and has been doing extremely well so far this season.

So, what has […]

Alex Tanguay came up big for the Flames tonight. He scored the tying and go-ahead goals leading the Flames to hand the Wild their first regulation loss in nine games this […]
