It’s semifinals time. The 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs has progressed to the next round and I’ve got to say that despite being disappointed by the elimination of some teams, I’m pretty psyched about some of these match ups. Should be an interesting series.
Here’s a look at the schedule:
MONTREAL CANADIENS vs. PHILADELPHIA FLYERS

The San Jose Sharks visited the Calgary Flames last night and, honestly, I was more than a little terrified that my boys were in trouble. I think this is the most exciting match-up in the quarterfinals because the Sharks and Flames are both so intense (Montreal Canadiens vs Boston Bruins is also pretty damn hot […]

The San Jose Sharks are battling hard against the Calgary Flames and many people feel it’s going to go to game seven. The Sharks have done really well this season and I wouldn’t be surprised if they won the conference.

What a horrible game! The Calgary Flames hosted the San Jose Sharks last night and they led 2-1 in the third and then, with less than 10 minutes left, the Sharks tied the game and then flipping won! It was a nightmare! Here’s the scoring summary:
SJS: Clowe, R. (PPG, 10:56 in 2nd), Cheechoo, J. (15:06 […]

Let me just vent for a second about Jody Shelley. I’m not even going to sink so low as to talk about that name but, seriously, did the man’s parents hate him *that* much that his first AND last names are both traditionally female? Maybe that’s why he has to be the rat […]

As a Calgary Flames fan, it was an emotional roller coaster of a game last night. I have to admit that, I’m not feeling good and we had guests, so I wasn’t thinking much at the beginning of the game but they really shouldn’t have started goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff last night. He had already been […]

GEEZUM! The first period of this game was spectacular. The Calgary Flames and the San Jose Sharks were toe-to-toe and then the second period happened. HOLY SH*T. That was the worst!
The officiators called a couple iffy penalties against Calgary and then the Flames just started playing like they had lost their minds. The worst moment […]

Minnesota Wild defenseman Kurtis Foster left the ice at the Shark Tank on a stretcher last night after running into the boards face first in a collision with San Jose Sharks rookie Torrey Mitchell. Foster remained on the ice for 12 minutes before medical personnel put a splint on his leg and strapped him to […]

Owen Nolan and Mike Grier tangled when the Calgary Flames hosted the San Jose Sharks last night. I was there and it was just Nolan’s night (he got a pretty sweet hat trick after more than 8 years!).
Fight info: January 30, 2008 - 2nd period @ Flames.
