Ray Emery - Where’s He Going?

One of the most talked about hockey players this season was goaltender, Ray Emery, and, unfortunately, it was usually for all the wrong reasons.  The Ottawa Senators were swept (SWEPT!) by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round of this season’s Stanley Cup Playoffs and almost everyone is blaming the “Razor.”  I don’t know if […]

NHL 2008 Trade Winners and Losers - Video

The Melrose Line (ESPN) talked about the winners and losers from the trade transactions yesterday.
For “winners,” he obviously talked about Marian Hossa going to the Pittsburgh Penguins, Brad Richards getting picked up by the Dallas Stars and the flurry of activity for the Colorado Avalanche.

Flyers Acquire Prospal for Picard

Vaclav Prospal has been shipped to the Philadelphia Flyers, who could use a veteran scorer at this point.  They traded with the Tampa Bay Lightning for minor-league defenseman Alexandre Picard and a conditional draft pick to the Lightning.
“Alexandre Picard is a young prospect with good size and excellent hockey sense who has played in the […]

Devils Send Janssen to Blues for Salvador

The New Jersey Devils have acquired a decent defenseman with Bryce Salvador and the St. Louis Blues were probably glad to get winger, Cam Janssen in return.
St. Louis is actually Janssen’s hometown so I bet that is pretty cool too.
It’s an okay trade.  Not much to say about this one…
