Eastern Conference Standings - Nov. 15

by Jeanne on November 16th, 2007

eastern conference standings

Well, I had hoped the Pittsburgh Penguins would be doing better but, alas, they are not.  There’s no reason why they shouldn’t be doing well but something is obviously not working out.  I don’t particularly like the Philadelphia Flyers so I’m not thrilled that they are leading the Atlantic Division.

The Ottawa Senators are incredible right now.  I don’t even like them, to tell the truth, but, this season, there’s plenty to like so far.  They’ve just been playing well all around.  The Montreal Canadiens are making good use of goaltender Cristobal Huet and his backup, Corey Price. The Buffalo Sabres are looking kind of sad these days…

The Carolina Hurricanes are in good shape and, who knows?  Maybe another Stanley Cup is in their future.  They’d have to get past Ottawa, of course :)  Everyone else in the Southeast is looking average…

Buffalo is not that good this year because of the loss of Drury and Briere . These Dudes accounted for 80% of the scoring for the Sabres last year. At least I get to see Andrew Peters Thump somebody.

    Peace… Iron Mike
