Malarchuck and Zednik - Should Neck Guards Be Mandatory?
So many of you were reminded of goalie Clint Malarchuck’s horrific accident when Richard Zednik was hurt a couple weeks ago. Both had their throats slashed by a skate blade and, again, it makes me wonder if neck guards should be made mandatory. It’s kind of like the old helmet debate and, I’m sorry, I’m really glad players have to wear helmets now.
