Predators On the Move?

It looks like Jim Balsillie is wasting little time in trying to move the Nashville Predators from the Deep South to the Great White North. According to the National Post, he’s made a formal application to relocate the Predators - a move that hinges on whether the team can terminate its current lease at the Sommet Center in Nashville.
If Balsillie’s $238-million purchase of the team is approved and the Predators are allowed to escape Nashville, Balsillie would probably move the team to Hamilton’s Copps Coliseum. The question is whether the team would stay there or whether they would eventually be moved to Kitchener-Waterloo. Balsillie’s from the area, which is booming and encompasses cities such as Cambridge, Guelph, Brantford and London.
From the outside looking in, all of these moves made by Balsillie so far (buying the team, working out a lease with Copps Coliseum, buying 26-acres of land near Cambridge, applying to relocate the team) seem very calculated - as if there’s a master plan happening behind the scene as opposed to the whims of a billionaire who wants his own way.
