Stillman and Commodore Traded to Sens
I’m sure we’re going to be seeing many more transactions before the trade deadline on February 26, 2008 at 3pm EST. In the meantime, the Carolina Hurricanes have sent Cory Stillman and Mike Commodore to the Ottawa Senators since the Sens wanted to bolster their number of players with playoff experience, secondary scoring and toughness to their lineup.
Forward Patrick Eaves and defenceman Joe Corvo have now joined the Canes roster.
With every trade I get more nervous. I’m not too afraid of who the Calgary Flames might add to their roster but I’m worried about who might leave. I’ll keep my mouth shut about it for now since I don’t want to tempt fate…

Ottawa has been a leader in making sensational trades over the past few years, but what they have lacked is a quality, proven goaltender. It has cost them the chance to boast the Stanley Cup over their heads. I’ve seen rumors a trade is imminent sending Emery to Chicago for Khabibulin. If that happens, I think Ottawa has a solid chance this year. (even though I selfishly want them to lose as usual! - Sabres fan! :)

No joke… Not only do I agree about the goaltending but I just don’t like Ottawa. Can’t put my finger on it but I just don’t like them.
