Tampa Bay’s Lecavalier Asking for Trade?
Is Tampa Bay Lightning star, Vincent Lecavalier, going to ask to be traded over the summer? I know I would! Veteran journalist Al Strachan seems to think that’s going to happen and he also is guessing about where Lecavalier could end up: Montreal!
“Vincent Lecavalier figures he’s put enough time in Tampa and wants to go to a bigger market,” Strachan said on Hockey Night in Canada’s “Hotstove” segment.
“This summer he’s going ask to be traded. He’s done this before, but it didn’t work last time. He wants to go to a bigger market. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a Stanley Cup winner, but L.A., New York or of course, Montreal.”
Canadian Press columnist, Pierre LeBrun, rebutted the remark and said that Tampa doesn’t want to trade Lecavalier… “especially with new ownership on board. They do not want to lose this guy. They are going to trade one of the big three, but I don’t think it’s Lecavalier.”
Honestly, I hope Lecavalier gets out of there and it’s not just because I don’t like the Tampa Bay Lightning.

I honestly don’t think he is going anywhere either. They are building that team around him. Everyone else is expendable. If they do want to trade him, have them call Darcy Regier from the Sabres!!! :-D

I am hoping Lecavalier stays where he is for TB fans sake but I can understand why he wants to leave. It’s got to be frustrating :(
