Thrashers Re-sign Goaltender Hedberg

by Jeanne on June 17th, 2008

28 March 2008: Atlanta's Johan Hedberg (SWE). The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Atlanta Thrashers 7-1 at the RBC Center in Raleigh, NC in a 2007-08 National Hockey League regular season game. The Atlanta Thrashers have re-signed goaltender Johan Hedberg.  The netminder has been given a multi-year contract but the terms of the deal were not disclosed.

During the 2007-2008 season, Hedberg appeared in 36 games, earned a 14-15-3 record, 3.46 goals-against average, a .892 save percentage and one shutout.

I hope this is a good decision for the Thrashers.  I guess I can’t really form an opinion until I know how much the contract is worth…
